Hello Everyone hope all is well and business is good! I'm currently a real estate agent and have moved to Dallas, TX. I've been on biggerpockets for a LONG time trying to learn as much as possible. I have finally made the big leap and am currently renting out my home in El Paso, TX. It has been smooth so far but I am looking at buying investment properties here in the DFW metroplex. I am a very HUNGRY and motivated person. I want to learn as much as possible and begin the journey. What other way then to learn by all the professionals on here! Any and all advice is appreciated. I guess my first question is how does people on here buy so many properties? Do they have a lot of money? Are there investors that they team up with? What are major things that you look for that qualify a good buy? Those are a few of the MANY questions I have but hopefully I can meet people on here who I can connect with and talk with for greater detail. Thanks again everyone!

@Brian Bustos

Welcome. The limitation in real estate is how much of your money is available therefore OPM is very popular.

Locate and attend 3 different local REIA club meetings great place to meet people gather resources and info. Here you will meet wholesalers who provide deals and rehabbers (cash buyers).

Two Great reads, I bought both J. Scott The Book on Flipping Houses, The Book on Estimating ReHab Costs http://www.biggerpockets.com/flippingbook

Download BP’s newest book here some good due diligence in Chapter 10. Real Estate Rewind Starting over

Good Luck

Paul
