Checking for Violations Online

in NYC, we used BIS website for checking for pending/resolved/outstanding building/code violations.

since i'm relatively new to the west coast, not sure with local LA county cities (Signal Hill, Long Beach, Lakewood, San Pedro, plus Westminster in OC county would be the cities I'm working on offers in these days) if any of these cities have online building information systems or not.

anybody?
