My first deal
Hello BiggerPockets!
My name is Alexander Pirhonen and I'm seventeen years old. I currently live in a suburb to Stocholm, Täby. I'm very serious about becoming successful in the real estate business. I'm starting from the bottom and determined to become a mogul of real estate in Sweden, since we have housing associations that in some areas of this country almost have monopoly and with the strict laws and regulations create minor problems for investors at this point of time, I'm determined to shoot where these associations don't have complete control over the market in this country.
I've been through worse days that have spurred me to become exaggerated, like a true entrepreneur. I have decided and promised myself to become a multimillionaire mainly for three reasons: I want the freedom to be able to do what I want, when I want. I want to make the world a better place by forming schools in third-world countries such as Gambia and contribute with proper education, and thirdly, I want to thank those who have supported me through life to become what I envision myself to be in seven years.
I have mainly three questions for you that I sincerely hope you can answer, as well as giving me, an extremely driven youth, good tips for success:
* I know that we are not allowed to ask for mentors online here on BiggerPockets, and that we guys see each other as mentors, eager to help each other. How do I find my personal, real life mentor here in Sweden? The industry seems to be somewhat closed here: We need to own our own property to become members of the clubs (such as "www.fastighetsagarna.se", or "www.fastino.se") I'm very eager to help other that are already successful to be able to learn, as well as providing them necessary help.
* How do I tie proper connections, as a teenager, seriously? People in my age are not very serious about life, and I'm having trouble relating to lazy people. It's almost as we don't speak the same language. At school, no problem: I recognize serious and somewhat crazy people with an blink of my eye, and usually make good friends with them. How do I do the same, in this industry?
* Lastly: What general tips on education and ACTION do you guys have? I've already read the beginners starting guide, another book by Peter Harris on commercial real estate and a couple of other books on real estate and business management. I've also read many books about handling people positively by Dale Carnegie, but I would like you guys to share how you educated yourself! To take the real estate agent license here in Sweden, it takes at least 2 full years at university plus the application process. Is that maybe one of the things I should do? And how do I take tremendous action right now?
I apologize for the Bible, it's not easy to explain myself more briefly than this. I hope I can get real suggestions from you guys. If you think I should "chill" with my ambitions, please don't answer the post at all - Success is the only option for me.
Sincerely,
Alexander Pirhonen
