Presently Renting in DFW Area but ready for REI

I sold my home a few years ago and am renting now. I've thought about purchasing another home but am more excited about REI and planning for my retirement. I'm looking for a good investor friendly RE agent in the DFW area. Also curious about what to expect from lenders as a renter investing in RE.
