RE - USA vs Western Europe

Hello, I am quite new to this forum (been following for a while but not really posting) By reading the first pages/topics, it seems that almost all members are investing in the USA. Me, being from Western Europe, I can not really compare f.e. the purchase prices. In my near area (range of +- 50 kilometers) a lot of the houses are built in the 1970's-80s so there is definetely room for rehabs. However, asking prices before rehabs are around 300.000 EUR, which result in high loans and high monthly payments. I know there is quite some room for alternative financing and negotiation techniques but I find it to be less developped than in the USA. Also, here there are some fiscal rules (taxes) depending whether you do the investments/sales via a company or not. Creating a company means extra costs (setting up a realistic business plan for minimum 3 years, registration fees, bookkeeping fees,..). How does things happen in the USA? I wonder if there are some members investing in Europe with the same succes? I'm not that good in 'do-it-yourself' but I'm analyzing some deals for a couple of years now. Running the numbers did not really result in finding a potential buy and hold property yet.. I think finding a good first Real estate deal is crucial for further action. Maybe one of you van share some experiences or ideas USA vs Europe. Have a nice day
