hey guys, I'm a newbie here so please bear with me I need some advice. Just purchased a three bedroom ranch in Kentwood Michigan on a land contract I'm new to real estate in general so please excuse my ignorance or my not being educated. Also I first time will not a first time, but first time I've actually purchased a house since 1976 and that house I just basically sublet which is the one I own now from my deceased wife's aunt we just made the payment and then transfer the title after that.

So my question is, if there is repairs to be made who is responsible, can i renegotiate? For example this house has two fireplaces if there's something wrong with the flu flute?? Spelling. Do I go back and ask them to fix this take it off of my down payment take it, off of the back end of the balance what's the best way to handle this and any other advice you could give me time is of the essence here as I closed in 28 days. Thank you.
