Do you get a contract from another wholesaler and then assign the contract?

Ok I had a thought today as a deal is starting to pan out. I had a guy who is a wholesaler he wants to assign me his contract. He sends over the deal and I realize this is coming from another wholesaler. I dont care, and if title is okay (which no one has pulled yet, seriously) I will buy this, but I am wondering if others have done this. Because the main wholesaler will be dealing with me at closing and thus would be bringing me (as a real cash buyer) his deals not the other wholesaler. just saying I would think a double closing would have been better.
