What are the "in" RE colors for 2015? Both paint and tile.

I'm a big believer in Realistic Beige for all my flips and my rentals.  However, my flips are almost always in the $100k range.  I'm partnering with another investor and they don't think that color realistically works for the $300K-$500k flip we are working on.   At least some of the colors need to be lighter since they will likely be in a bathroom for elementary age children.  The  house we are flipping is in a much sought after elementary school district where people are paying extra to live there.

Thanks!

Interior wall color - I have used Dunn Edwards brand floating feather color for several years now in both $300k and $1.5M homes. Dunn Edwards I believe is only here on the west coast but just google them and you can see the color chart and match from another company. Swiss coffee on the doors and trim.

As for cabinets, depends on the area, the style, etc. So some need white, some light stain, some medium stain, and some dark stain. For style, shaker, raised panel, and for ultra modern, flat panel.

Granite colors - so many to choose from, it all depends on what your paint, flooring, and cabinet colors are. For your price points granite is fine, but for my area in my price points, granite is less desirable and cesarstone/quartz stone is in. Color selection on countertops is for me, always determined after paint, flooring, and cabinetry colors. Then the backsplash is chosen to compliment the countertop and tie in the cabinets and sometimes appliances.

It is tough to go wrong with earth tones so keeping on that track and not going too dark and you will be fine.

Most popular here is medium to dark stain cabinets, stainless appliances, and white quartz stone with stainless appliances. Brings a touch of modern to the traditional and when you tie in the sleek stainless bar style hardware, you add even more modern to the traditional which has proven to be popular.

I have seen this all work here on the west coast, the east coast, and in Texas, not sure about other areas of the country.
