Buying an NYC apartment and want to use AirBNB for renting it out

Hi everyone,

As I get to nyc on business very often, I'm thinking of buying a place in the city. I will be in NY for about 3 months a year on different dates.

I was thinking of renting it out on Airbnb.com for the times I won't be staying there.

1. Is this vialble?

2. I do not live in the area so will need someone to run things for me via arranging for the place to get cleaned up after a rental etc..

Any ideas on this?

Thanks in advance for your help

Welcome to Bigger Pockets, @Guliamo Zidan

It might be possible to buy a place in NYC, and rent it out as a vacation rental when you're not using it.

What you're looking at is it more cost effective to pay to stay in NYC 3 months out of the year, or is it more cost effective to buy a place, and rent it out 9 months out of the year.

When you're in NYC, where do you stay?
