Buying in Pinellas County Florida

Hello,

My husband and I will be moving to Pinellas County, Fl later this year.  A little background about us- my husband is in the military, so we are planning on being there for about 3-4 years.  We are in our early 30's and own two other rental properties (one is paid off). We are wanting to buy a house and then rent it out after we are done.  Any areas that you would recommend?  We are also torn between a townhouse/condo (less maintenance) or a house

Thanks!

Welcome to Bigger Pockets.

I am particularly fond of east Clearwater, Countryside, Safety Harbor, Palm Harbor and Dunedin.  Though North St Petersburg may be just as easy to get to MacDill.

Regarding rental properties I dislike HOAs dictacting your profit margin with escalating fees and assessments. A well planned lease and excellent property management company can help alleviate some of those maintenance woes.
