First home purchase for future rental (Military)
I am moving to the Newport News, VA area and am in the initial stages of house hunting. I plan to live in this home for 2-3 years then rent after the military moves me again. My question is, for a long term investment, should I go for a cheaper townhome - condo? Or would a detached home serve my investment purposes better. I am concerned about a townhome - condo value after 10-15 years.
