Paying Property Tax Bills With Credit Card

Hi guys,

I'm trying to pay my property tax bills (I have 11 places in Atlanta) with a credit card has anyone been able to do this without incurring the extra 2.5% charge in some counties?

I'm trying to increase my spending on my US credit cards to get extra airmiles.

Pretty much all of the government services I have found have percentage based fees too high to make this worth doing.  Look for flat fees that are not too bad if you have a large transaction amount.  I did run into a nice situation when I put in three water meter taps a few months ago at $1050 each.  The water service charges a $3 convenience fee for card payments which on a $30 water bill is pretty bad, but using my 1.5% cash back card I was able to get almost $50 back on the $3150 transaction.
