Hot Home Markets

I'm looking to invest in a fix and flip property, and not limiting myself to local. We are looking for the current hottest flip markets around the country. Ideally I want to purchase a house in a hot market, which I can live in while I fix. Has anyone ever purchased a flip far from where they are based?? Any suggestions on hot flippers markets (warm weather preferred)?? Would appreciate any input thank.

DFW s hot, average time on market is less than 30 days. But good luck on finding a great deal, tons of investors doing essentially the same thing. You Maoist likely would have better luck in San Antonio, Austin or Houston. All four locations are warm climates.
