Mortgage contingency, loan commitment date...

Hi guys. I have an issue with my contract.

It states the loan commitment date is 30 days after the effective date. effective date should be 9/5/2014 which is also when the seller also signed the contract.

but

It also says "If buyer does not receive Loan Commitment by Loan Commitment Date, then thereafter either party may cancel this Contract up to the earlier of:

I. Buyer's delivery of written notice to seller that buyer has either received Loan Commitment or elected to waive the financing contingency of this Contract. or

ii. 20 Days prior to Closing Date."

So which date is the last day I have to get the loan commitment by?

20 Days prior to Closing is today... But the Loan commitment date should be 10/5 or actually 10/6 by 5pm based on the Time paragraph...

So do I need to worry, or am I good until 10/6 5pm? Simple logic holds in court doesn't it, If/Then statement is pretty clear, and the IF part has not happened yet, so the THEN part should have no effect yet even if the dates are overlapping, right?

I was calling my bank today to get it done, and they said they are expediting it and the underwriter is working on getting me the approval right now, appraisal came back $2k higher than purchase price...
