House Occupants
Through administrative foreclosure due to unpaid taxes, I was recently deeded an out-of-state property that has some occupants. I don't know if they are the former owners or renters and how they might react to "the new owner" in person. I'd like to send a certified introduction letter that would either direct them to send rent payments to me if they are paying rent currently or offer to allow them to stay in exchange for rent if they were the former owners. Of course if they don't respond or refuse to pay rent I would begin the eviction process but in the meantime I'm simply looking for a nice intro letter to "occupants" to help determine their status and intentions. Any good suggestions?
