New to BP! Looking to buy/flip raw land

Hi everyone -

I'm new to BP and real estate investing in general, but I figured this would be a good place to start. I've been reading up on different articles and listening to podcasts about buying and flipping raw land for profit. I have very little to invest (about $1500) but I think I would be most interested in purchasing a tax deed raw land parcel from a tax sale somewhere in California, and flipping it.

I'm brand new here and not exactly sure where to start. Would the best place to purchase be an in-person county auction? I've also seen a ton of auction web sites (and have also read up on how to tell the authenticity between them). Would ************** be a good starting point? Anyone on here have experience doing this?

I obviously still have tons to learn and will not be purchasing anything for at least a couple of months as I continue to do my research and due diligence, but I wanted to put this out there to see what advice experienced investors have on the topic. Any advice/guidance would be helpful.

Thanks for reading!

(PS - I've already read up on the sites retipster.com and thelandgeek.com)
