Oklahoma City vs Tulsa...Which one is better investment?
Out of state investor, first time in Oklahoma, can't decide between the two. They seem so similar in stats (I'm not an expert though) but everyone seems to always mention OKC as the next hot spot. Why not Tulsa when the stats are so similar? Everything looks great in both towns but then the insurance and all the climate risks make me wonder if I should back out. Having a house in Tulum Mexico, the upkeep in the humid hurricane environment is so financially draining, i wonder if Oklahoma is similar with these apparent high climate risks. Don't want all my cash flow to go towards maintenance. I'm tending towards Tulsa cuz OKC seems more tornado prone and Tulsa more artsy. Am i wrong? Questions....
1. thoughts between the 2 as better investment?
2. have you noticed higher and regular exterior maintence protection (sealing/weatherproofing/termite/bug protection) or anythign? that i should be aware of when purhcasing in OK?
3. I'm always hearing about foundation issues as a potential. Like what and wh?
4. Do you carry earthquake, flood or termite insurance?
Much appreciated!
