Close Before or After Repairs
I'm under contract on a property and representing myself. There were a couple issues found on the property and the seller has expressed a willingness in fixing those issues. The Sellers Agent said the Seller would fix the issues after the closing date and that we would be able to choose all the contractors. All of this would be written out in an addendum to the sales contract and signed by both parties prior to closing.
I know that most people say to have everything fixed before the closing date, but if it is in writing and signed prior to closing, is it that big of a deal? What should I be looking out for? Thanks all!
