How do you build up enough capital to buy a rental property? What were your experiences when you first started, and what would you do differently now? Is getting a job a good strategy, or are there other approaches you recommend?

 getting a job should be your #1priority. Three ways to start in real estate:

1. Come from money

2. Earn money

3. raise money

reality is majority earn money that they save then its not many people who actually raise money. BP has 3M and I could tell you that my guess is far less than 1% raise money from investors. The most followed path is to save enough for down payment and reserves then get a loan.
