New Investor Eyes Dallas Rentals!

Md Mezbah Uddin
Posted

Hey all! Newbie to the real estate investment scene here. Based on the East Coast, so investing in rental property isn't feasible here. Eyeing Dallas as my starting point.

Whether you're a Dallas real estate pro or a fellow newbie with insights, your advice is welcome! I'm also soaking up knowledge from YouTube videos, but there's nothing like real-world tips.

Thanks in advance for your support!

@Md Mezbah Uddin

hello.  just to challenge you a little - where on the east coast are you located?  Is there really no market within one or two or three hours of you that has a similar median price point as Dallas?

OOS investing is a lot harder than advertised.

if you pick a local or local-ish market you can spend time in it, walk properties, go to REIA meetings, build a network.

    Welcome to Dallas.

    What's your strategy?

    Still lots of people and companies moving here.  So good job growth and good population growth.  There's probably a little pain in the rent growth this year and rent has probably not caught up with sales prices yet, but market still seems good for the long term.  We also have a good and diversified economy.  Oil & Gas, Banking, Insurance, Tech, Medical, Airline, Distribution and more.
