Trouble opening up Auction.com email attachments?
Hi, everyone. New here but have been reading through past posts concerning Auction.com. Earned real estate license years ago but never pursued career. Learned a lot about Auction.com lately. Don't like what I'm learning about them:(
Q: Does anyone have (or heard of) a horror story of not meeting deadline because attachments in email from Auction.com after sale wouldn't open?
BACKGROUND: The property I want to bid on is in Ohio and so am I. I want to use it as my residence. I've performed all due diligence related to property. Auction starts in less than two weeks. Ohio is a judicial foreclosure state and the property is up for its first time on the block.
I'm now communicating (via email) with an Auction.com auction coordinator for my state (Ohio). I requested a dry-run test on the forms/instructions I'd be receiving if Auction.com should send me the congratulatory email. Why? Prior, I contacted the title company (chosen by PSO) in the property listing and they were willing to send me the same documents Auction.com will be sending me concerning wiring the deposit. (I'll have a 2-hour deadline to meet once I get the congratulatory email from Auction.com.) However, I couldn't open one of the two attachments title company sent. (It was an image.) Title company's email had included a notice stating image was removed by Mimecast. Seems to be a security measure that sometimes false-flags attachments from what I've read on the net. The image symbol appeared in my email. I just couldn't open it.
Auction.com auction coordinator stated they're not able to send me the forms prior to the sale. I told coordinator I considered the dry run part of my due diligence. They said due diligence only pertains to details of property. Ummm, no. I have meeting with my attorney this Friday anyway. I'll see what he says about this. Could contact the PSO, too.
