I've been in the market for another house for a few months but whenever i find something that i like and works with the numbers I get out bid. Any suggestions? I've started looking at houses that need a lot of work to have better odds.

Is Minot part of the oil boom? I'd guess you have a lot of competitors that understand the silly rents they can charge to the oil workers.

I plan on having 90% of my offers refused.

If your winning every time you make an offer you are probably paying too much. I would say double check your calculations and make sure your confident in your offer price. If your being to greedy then you understand why your loosing bids.

Other than that remember that that offers look stronger when they are cash or non contingent. Also large earnest money deposits add some strength to your offers.
