Anyone currently doing deals in the Bay Area?

I'm really interested in purchasing an investment property in the California Bay Area but because prices are so high, the numbers just won't work. I'm wondering if anyone else is able to find deals for buy/hold/rent and able to be profitable in the Bay Area? If so, could you give an example of the type of property and where?
