How to get listings as a new young realtor

Hi everyone, i have been a realtor for a year and I was wanting some advice on what it is that you realtors do to get listings? Cold calling is brutal. Open houses for me have never generated any leads. Farming is such a waste of money. What is it exactly that you have found success in? Is being young in this field a setback? Do people not want to work with young realtors? Please give me some advice.
