Clayton Morris Portugal exit !

Having just spent the last 5 days touring Portugal its apparent this move that Clayton and his wife made has yet again been to their benefit at the cost of their investors.

This is hardly any kind of hardship on them.. They probably got the Golden Visa where you only have to spend 500k on real estate to qualify and you get citizenship in addition you only have to spend 2 weeks a year in country.

Also given the fact that its darn near impossible to get any kind of civil judgement executed and collected on in Portugal.

It appears to me this was a well thought out move that will lead to the Morris's having a nice  life here in Portugal and all the investors left in his wake are for the most part very much out of luck or any hope of collecting on judgements.

At this point with Whalen the fall guy for the criminal activity its my opinion that Clayton and wife while going through a great deal of drama and trauma being the focus of so much civil litigation and public assassination on social media   will just live out their lives here in this country hardly any kind of exile..

There are a huge amount of US ex pats here no need to really learn Portuguese etc etc.

So bottom line they got away with it and are living in a beautiful safe clean country.

Hopefully those who still follow Mr. Clayton on SM and are still buying the real estate they promote will take note of all of this.

Replied

We managed about 40 of these assets after the fall out with ocean pointe. Several doctors and lawyers and other smart people literally crying on the phone to me as they realized their whole retirement plan was done and they need to work into their 70’s if they wanted to retire. It was heartbreaking when we’d send them leases showing rent was $550 from their POS rental after they were under the impression and “getting” $850 month from the “freshly renovated” rental from ocean pointe.

The victims weren’t a bunch of super rich people where it didn’t affect them. Mostly hard working trustful people risking large percentages of their retirement. Hope Clayton and Bert are actually punished. They put all of Indianapolis under a microscope for a couple of years.
