Section 8 housing

Hello everyone,

I am a 26 year old in a small town in TN, I have one rental property right now and I’m looking into buying a lot close to a school in my hometown and putting a section 8 duplex up. I am new to real estate and in the process of flipping a single family home I purchased for a great price, paid a little less than half the appraisal value and needs no work. I was going to put those profits into building the duplex($100k+) but want advice from others in that avenue. I live in a very poor part of the state and think I will have plenty of occupants. I want to start with this single duplex and expand this business over this small subdivision. It’s a rough part of town but I think I could buy most of the lots and clean them up and not only increase property value tremendously but also have a very good cash flow. Does anyone have any tips or recommendations? Feel free to ask me anything as I’m new to this site and forum. Thanks everyone!
