How to determine property taxes on a specific property?

Hello, please forgive a newbie question, but how do you find out what the property taxes are for properties you are interested in? Is the information available online? It's such an important part of determining whether or not a specific investment makes sense. I'm new at looking for properties, I've been browsing through realtor.com and other websites to get a feel for things. Sometimes the listings tell you the property taxes, but sometimes they don't, or maybe I'm not seeing it, some of the listings are still a little confusing for me. If someone could steer me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated. Thanks!
