How should I have handled this situation?

I sent out postcards to motivated sellers. One of those sellers contacted me from those postcards. I was excited to get a response from a motivated seller. The bad news is the seller speaks Spanish, and I do not. I ended up letting a potential deal slip away because me and the seller does not speak the same language.  I hated that happened ever since and wish something could have been done at that time to fix the problem.

You better get some friends that speak Spanish. That is my advice and ideally some other common languages as well. We live in a diverse country that doesn't have an official language. Any deal can be made as long as you have a trustworthy translator
