Lessongs on Taking on Photos for Your Property Listing

We’ve all seen the most terrible photos of properties listed for sale. Photos that were never meant to be found on the MLS or Zillow.com. I found this great website recently and wanted to share it again. The website shares a collection of funny photos found in real estate listings called, TerribleRealEstateAgentPhotos.com. For anyone planning on photographing a property for sale, take a lesson from some of the photos on this website and just don’t be that guy!

From an article by Dana Mattioli of the Wall Street Journal, I like these simple, common sense tips for property photos for a listing:

1.Turn on lots of lights and use a flash.

2.Remove clutter, clear counter space.

3.Use a good photo editing software to lighten up photos, crop them, etc.

4.USE A PROFESSIONAL. When in doubt just use a professional photographer. This is a large sales transaction, so it may be worth investing in a pro that will make your property photos perfect!

Curious about those really bad real estate photos? Check them here: http://terriblerealestateagentphotos.com/ Because each photo is so different, you may have to look at a photo for a few seconds in order to see the things that’s just not quite right !! Don’t hurry when selling a property. The property photos on a listing can really make the difference in selling a property fast.
