How do I change Realtors

I have a property in Oklahoma that I have had listed with a realtor since July of last year. We don’t seem to be making any progress and I would like to switch to a different realtor. Unfortunately, the agreement that I signed with her is good until the middle of June. So, to make the change, I would have to wait a month and a half to do so. Any suggestions or recommendations?

My general advice is speak with your realtor and see if they will let you out of the contract since no progress has been made. If they absolutely say no, you have a few more weeks to wait which shouldn't be bad. However, more importantly, is it your realtor's fault? Did you or she price the house too high for the local market? Is the house is really bad condition for the price? Is it a dying rural town with a waste dump site half a mile away?

I guess my real question is: what is the reason why it is slow to move? Be aware of what that is and if it is fixable, speak to your realtor about it.
