How to find a previous owner on a property in Oregon?

I just made an offer on a distressed property in central Oregon. I would like to try to track down the previous owner, to get some relatively objective information. I was able to do this two months back in San Bernardino, California. I looked in the Property Information Management System Internet Site for the county and was able to find records of previous owners. I got the name then found previous owners on facebook and linkedin. I had a very pleasant conversation with one man who provided me information upon which I rescinded my offer.

I can't seem to find the same information about ownership history in Oregon. I can find a record of the current owner but no previous owners. Does anyone have an idea how to find this?
