Anyone purchase a Home from Property Management in NC?

Hi all,

I am looking for insight into a situation where I have an older family member who has been renting for more than ten years in a home that is going on the market to be sold. She received a 60-day notice to terminate the lease (lease release) due to property management selling the property. She's not prepared to be out by Jan 2023, so I want to purchase the home and allow the family member to stay and pay rent to me. What's the best way to navigate this type of situation? I understand I will need to reach out to the property management company, but what else should I do? Consult an attorney? Any advice or wisdom on navigating this situation would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
