Water proofing a basement- is it a deal breaker?

I am in the process of buying either a duplex or a single family house with a finished basement. I found this beautiful, fairly recently renovated single family house with a "finished basement" . But on inspection, we discovered that the basement was never water-proofed and there are some visible signs of water seepage in the unfinished parts of the basement. is this a deal breaker? how much of the cost is a fair amount to ask the seller to cover?

@Sosina M., to piggyback off of others, I'd recommend extending due diligence to schedule a waterproofing and foundation contractor to assess the basement. That is the only vendor that will provide an accurate cost of repair, otherwise, you're blindly estimating. In my opinion, this shouldn't be a deal breaker if negotiated properly. After receiving a quote from the contractor, negotiate for either a price reduction, credit repair, or whatever makes the most sense for you to get the deal done. If this was 6-7 months ago this would have been out of the discussion, however, buyers certainly have more leverage today. Hope this makes sense and helps! Feel free to reach out if you have any additional questions.
