Advice for a newbie (mentors)

My family has been involved in real estate investing for my whole life but they aren't as aggressive as I would like to be. What I have seen recommended on many sources is to find someone who has knowledge and experience in what you are interested in and ask them to mentor you. So while I have a base knowledge (nothing to where I would like to be) I would like to learn from someone who has been through it many times. I'm eager to learn and willing to make sacrifices to become successful. Can anyone point me in the direction I where I could go to find a mentor?
