Previous Owner Intentionally Change Lease Amount

I recently purchased a property that had an existing section 8 tenant. Prior to purchase, I was provided a signed copy of the lease for the existing tenant.  After closing, payments through the housing authority were set up, and upon receipt of the first months payment, I noticed that it was less than the amount shown on the lease.  Looking closer at the lease provided by the seller, it clearly looks like the amounts were whited-out and altered  The housing authority provided me a copy of the executed lease that they had on file, which has no alterations, and it is clearly a different (lower) amount than indicated on the lease provided.  Also, on the description on Zillow, the higher amount was indicated.  So this is a clear instance where the seller falsified the rent amount to make the sale look more attractive. The seller didn't use a real estate agent.  Anything to do in this situation, or just push through and move on?
