Wife on deed?

I'm buying my first SFR with cash. I plan on financing it at a later point.

I'm wondering about the advantages/disadvantages of listing my wife on the deed. I want her protected in case something happens to me, but I was also concerned about future mortgages. If I plan on financing it in my name only should I leave her off the deed? I was thinking that down the road I could have 4 conventional loans in my name and 4 in her name. I also though she would retain an interest as my wife in case I die sooner than I hope to.

Should I put my name only on deed to preserve financing options in the future or does it matter?

Thanks!
