Finding Ways to Finance Down Payments

Emanuel Pellot
Posted

Hello,

I am trying to buy my first property. I don't qualify for traditional financing and the best loan I found so far is a portfolio loan. With a portfolio loan my down payment is larger, and I am having trouble coming up with the money. What are some ways to finance a down payment? I was thinking about trying to find investors and then when I qualify for FHA in a few months re-finance the property and pay back but I have a hard time asking for money because I do not like owing people money. In addition, I do not know how to raise money from private investor. Is there any other way that I can come up with the money?

Thank you
