Bank Sale in North Carolina

We are currently in the process of bidding on a bank sale property in Western North Carolina and there are some intricacies that we have never come across in any of our other deals. Looking for any sort of guidance on this if someone has gone through the process. The county employees aren't able to assist/recommend anything since it is technically legal advice/information. Any help would be appreciated.
