Sell the Triplex? OR Keep the Triplex?!!

Chasen Cole
Posted

I am 26 years old and just purchased a triplex 3 weeks ago. I can cash flow around $1,200 a month. It took us about a year and a half to find this deal with it being a hot market where we are. We just had an offer of $100,000 over what we paid for it. After realtor fees and taxes we would keep about $70k profit. Should we sell or hold on to it? Our business model is to buy and hold and live on passive income... but is it dumb to turn down that much money?

@Chasen Cole I think you should not sell a property unless you know where you want to put it. Otherwise you just get the cash and that's losing ~7% a year to inflation. Maybe hold a year and 1031 into something else?
