Palm Beach Gardens and vicinity advice for home buying
We've done online research and despite the competition, we're ready to buy a home here. It will be used to live in at first with an eye on renting, seasonally perhaps, after that. We'll be touring the region in the next few days. I'd like to connect with someone who knows the pros and cons of buying in particular neighborhoods. Cons to us would mean higher than normal HOA's or built be a subpar builder etc. I determined that townhouses in PGA national are higher priced but lower HOA's. That's more appealing because of the equity potential. New construction in Riviera Beach looks enticing but why is it priced lower?
Anyone want to comment?

Hello @Nancy Bachety,
I am a realtor/investor in palm beach county. Like you said it is very competitive but not impossible. I am happy to go into detail on areas that I would recommend. Also have to be careful of HOA rules and Lease restrictions. Many places have rules against or limiting rentals.
Riviera Beach is seems great but is currently in an 'opportunity zone.' So it is a low income high crime area. The state deemed it an opportunity zone and will be putting money into the area to grow the community and create more jobs. Could see a nice return over time but a rough area for the time being.
