Permanent Rv in a RV Park
Good evening fellow investors,
I'm getting started in REI and I've been trying to figure out my niche in this world. I'm trying to think outside the box in which an active duty Marine can do. I live in Richlands, NC very close to Camp Lejeune and a short drive to Topsail beach. I've been thinking of RV parks and/or Mobile Home Park but I obviously can't purchase one of those to start. So a thought came across my mind. Purchase a RV that is permanently in a RV Park and rent it to a young family or use it as a vacation rental.
The following is from the RV parks website about Rates:
Annual Lot Rental Rates
Your annual rent includes a minimum 37 x 50 foot lot, 1850 square feet minimum, complete with water, sewer service, lawn service, cable, wi-fi with 24 hour tech support and trash removal.
Each lot is wired for electric service with 50, 30 and 20 AMPs.
Exceptionally low rates for a gated, RV park with all the amenities including a private swimming pool, recreation room, laundry, library, heated and cooled bathhouses, basketball court, volleyball court, horseshoe pit, dog park and playground.
Our Rates are as follows . . .
Annual Rates $3500
Monthly Rates : $650 -$750
Nightly Rates $60 – $75 Limited Nightly
They have RVs for sale and are between 20,000 and 45,000. These RVs have a room added onto the RV itself that make it bigger and really nice.
Has anyone thought of this or tried this out? I’ve read on threads about Outdoorsy and I don’t think I’m going in that direction. It’s a permanent location. Please give your thoughts and opinions. Thank you and I appreciate your knowledge and expertise.
