Shared Septic Tank In Park
I am presently looking at a park that has every 2 homes sharing one 1500 gallon tank. Park was built in 2001.
What are some questions I should be asking the local sewage inspector when I call him?
What are your experiences with similar parks?

Get the septic system inspected. They will look into the tank, surrounding area, the diverter box for the drain field, etc. Depending on the system, (and what you're willing to pay for) they may even dig into the drain field to see if it is saturated.
The county health department will have records on the locations, sizes, and capacities of the tanks, diversion box, and drain fields, including an area delineated as a replacement drain field(s). Talk to the health department inspector.
TO NOTE: In every case that I am aware of, the area identified as the replacement drain field(s), cannot have structures put on it. If there is a large open area, that doesn't necessarily mean you can add trailers to that space. The county inspector, combined with the building inspector, and zoning department will know about this and building density allowed as well.
Chances are, if the system is only 17 years old, it is probably built very close to current standards, and probably has years of reliable service remaining.
