Free Mobile Homes

Anyone have any luck making money on older mobile homes given to you by individuals that want to move out of the park?

While I was purchasing a mobile home from an individual their friend talked to me and asked if I wanted a free mobile home. I checked inside and some spots on the floor need to be fixed and the ceiling had some problems.

Anyone else have any experience with receiving free mobile homes (that need work done to them) and trying to sell them?

I LOVE free mobile homes!

My past 4 homes have been free and each needed between $1500-2000 labor/materials for fix up. The last one was a 2/1 given to me, all I did was paint the inside for $250 (labor and materials) and sold it a few weeks later for $4700 ($800 down, 240/month). Currently finishing up a DW and starting a second one.

If it's free you want to take a look and see if it's worth the time and effort. I've passed on as many free mobile homes as I have taken because of the time/money they needed. Just be smart and be realistic with your numbers (cost, selling price).
