Buying a MH in the Midwest and Moving it to the Coast.
Typically, I flip mobile homes. But just recently, I have stumbled upon a couple of VERY nice 3/2 mobile homes from the mid and late 90's. They are currently in the Midwest. I can get the pair for $25,000. I am investigating the possibility of moving them to somewhere like the west coast to get a much greater price.
Does anyone have experience with this?

Not to mention getting through the mountains. There is a reason why most of the coastal homes only come in 12 wide sections.
Like Jack and Mark - I cannot believe the transport costs would not be cost prohibitive. Jack also brought up the very good point of making sure the home is rated for the area. Every home is suppose to have a posted sheet in the home on this subject. Even one state can make a difference.
