Should BP add social media features?

I recently got active on the BP platform and was excited to share what I learned in the past few days. However, I could not find a feature where I can share casual things that are on my mind to other members. I feel forums are too formal to post something like that and is a place to ask people questions. Do I miss anything? I think it would be great for BP to add some social media features, so that members connect with each other more. RE is about relationships right?  What do you think about this?
