Engineers

I would like to make a petition that “Engineer” or “Civil Engineer” be added to the Occupation list for profiles. I hope there are other Engineers here that can support this motion.

Civil Engineers serve in several critical roles in the broad category of real estate. In Land Development, Engineers design residential, commercial and municipal sites. Designing everything from the lot layout, roads, water & sewer utilities, to the grading and storm drain on each and every site that comes into reality. Engineers are the ones who design Stormwater Management plans and Erosion &Sediment Control plans to meet the federal, state and local requirements for development, keeping our environment clean and intact. We all hope to one day thank an Architect for designing our dream home. However, we can also thank Structural Engineers for designing the support that keeps that dream home standing. Engineers also work with and for Municipalities and government agencies all over to write and review our Codes and Regulations to ensure that our buildings and structures are safe and reliable. Engineers design the bridges and highways that connect us to the world. Engineers are tied into most aspects of the Real Estate market.

In closing, I am respectfully requesting that the occupation of Engineer be considered for Bigger Pockets user profiles.

Thank you,
