Hey All -
I wanted to make a friendly reminder to everyone to help us keep spammers out of the community. Just like you don't like getting spam in our email inboxes, we don't like when you get it here on BiggerPockets.

As such, we've got several filters to find spam AND we have a way for you to report it if it gets through. Just click the REPORT link at the bottom of any PM or colleague request and let us know about the message.

EXAMPLE:

We have a ZERO tolerance policy for spam in either PMs or Colleague Requests. If you want to connect to people, introduce yourself, but keep the ad or dealmaking out of it. If you've established a rapport and the other person says it is cool to send them opportunities, then and only then is it ok to use the PM system to do so.

Otherwise, if you want to promote something, use our Marketplace.

Thanks again, and do help us keep the spammers out by reporting them when or if they strike.
