BP App Seach Function (iPhone)

Am I using the search function wrong on the BP iPhone App? I run my search (owner finance) and apply the filter to only get threads with activity in the last year (I’m not that interested to read old threads which might not give advice that is currently valid), but I’m still getting those old threads. Is it me, or does the search function need improvement?
