BiggerPockets Upgrades: New Navigation Bar & Group Invitations on Your Dashboard

Amongst many fixes that you'll never see, today we launched several big changes to how you do things on BiggerPockets.

1 - As you can tell from looking at the navigation bar at the top of the page, we've consolidated 13 of our major site links down to 6 different links and dropdown menus. We spent a good amount of time looking at various combinations that we thought would help our users better navigate BiggerPockets, and after sharing these with others for feedback, have settled on the new setup.

We realize that this change may be somewhat unsettling for some of our long-time users, but we're confident that it will quickly catch on.

2 - As you can see from the image below, if you've been invited to join a group from another member, you'll now see a message in the Notifications box letting you know about it. Previously, we sent out an email, but if you missed it, you would have no other way of knowing about the invite. Once you click the group invites link, you'll be able to accept or decline any invitations.

Over the next weeks, we're planning on redesigning many different areas of the site, and improving the functionality of those areas. Next up . . . a redesign of the BP front page.
