colleague request messages

Why does it appear in the NEW colleague request messages that the messages are cut off. I have had two people send me their info, accepted the request to have the message disappear with the half info I got. How do I retrieve a new colleague request message. Not one that goes into the inbox but a NEW colleague request message. Thanks, Christine
